maxi skirt 3 ways {finale + recap}.

Skirt: Forever 21 (love this one) | Top: PacSun (similar)
Spiked bracelet: Forever 21 (similar)
Wedges: Target | Necklaces: old Forever 21 & vintage
Lip color: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in "Rendezvous"

This is a great go-to outfit because it's so easy to put together for a last-minute dressy occasion in the summertime. The great thing about a maxi skirt is that it will look great with all different types of tank tops, so you can style endless varieties based off a look like this. Tank top, maxi skirt, wedges - check! Also, I know shorter, statement necklaces are all the rage this season, but I still like layering my longer necklaces with certain tops like this one because it can lengthen a look.

This was the third of three ways I styled this maxi skirt this month!
Which look was your favorite??

My Graduation!

I couldn't be more thankful for my wonderful, supportive and encouraging parents! They've pushed me hard over the years, but it's enabled me to do so many great things and I'm blessed to have them as my parents!

How gorgeous is my sister?? I'm so incredibly proud of her... She is a college swimmer and pre-law student and kicks some serious butt at everything! Love her to death!

Meeting my boyfriend Trey was without a doubt the highlight of college for me! This year he'll be achieving his dreams by teaching and coaching football and I'm so proud of him! Truly can't imagine life without him :)

My dear friend Haley surprised me at my graduation ceremony Friday night and it was the sweetest thing ever! We've been best friends since freshman year of high school and have maintained an amazing friendship even while I've been away at college. I can't wait to be in her wedding in October! :)

These girls... Two of my roommates and very best friends! Ashley and Lauren have been such a huge part of my college experience and are truly great friends! I'm so thankful to have found lifelong friends while in college.

 My graduation dress!
Dress: old from Elly's Couture in Columbia
Shoes: Target (these are amazing! they're exactly like the Steve Madden and Zara versions, so I highly recommend them. also, I apologize for my gross tan lines! haha)

I'm now a Mizzou alum and couldn't be more excited! I have officially graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri School of Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication and Minor in Business! I don't know how four years could possibly go by so quickly, but I had a fantastic college experience and met some amazing people along the way. I'm definitely going to miss it, but am so excited to see what the next chapter of my life holds!

I'll be back with an outfit post Very soon :) Sorry for the recent irregularity!

Another shot of the island green taken early Sunday morning before the crowds got there.

I had the amazing opportunity to go to Jacksonville, Florida last week with my dad and my boyfriend Trey! We got tickets from Trey's family to go to The Players Championship golf tournament at TPC Sawgrass. IT. WAS. AMAZING. I've probably never talked about it on here but I've played golf since I was a little kid and grew up watching tournaments with my dad. So, getting to go to such a huge tournament and getting to see the world's biggest players was such an incredible experience. I got goosebumps several different times seeing some of the players I've rooted for for so long! Besides that, I had such a blast with my dad and Trey too :)

Well...I'm leaving my house in 10 minutes to attend my college graduation... EEK! I'm so stinkin excited. Needless to say I'll be posting about it sometime this weekend :)

maxi skirt 3 ways {2}.

Top: H&M (old) | Skirt: Forever 21 (love this one)
Sandals: Target | Purse: Nine West found at TJ Maxx (similar here and here)
Bracelet: vintage | Earrings: H&M (similar) | Nails: Essie 'lovie dovie'

Hello all! I just returned from Jacksonville, Florida from a golf trip with my dad and boyfriend so I'm also returning to the blogging world! I'll have a photo diary of the trip up later this week :)

But about this post... I wanted to try styling this maxi skirt as a more casual look that's wearable for more day-to-day activities. This gave me the perfect opportunity to finally wear these amazing glitter sandals from Target that everyone is talking about (yet another #targetdoesitagainmoment)! I also achieved this casual look by tying a simple t-shirt and by throwing on a bright cross-body bag.

high-low.

Top: Ali & Kris (found here) | Skirt: PacSun (old - love this one for spring/summer)
Bag: similar | Booties: Steve Madden (similar)

These photos were shot a few months ago, but I figured it was a great time to post them because this high-low top has been on heavy rotation for me lately! I really like high-low tops a) because I'm tall so I like the length in the back and b) because they look cute with skirts, shorts or jeans!

So so sorry for the lack of posts and sense of community recently! This week was my very last week of school {ever}, so as you can imagine I was absolutely swamped with papers and presentations. And NOW, I'm on vacation in Florida with my dad and boyfriend to visit some family and to go to The Players Championship PGA tournament Sat/Sun! So please have a little patience with me...I'll have a little time to breathe and immerse myself into blogging again in a few days :)
